Time and Talents

St Columba’s activities rely on volunteers. There are many roles for volunteers ranging from helping in The Sunday School and creche, to joining a lunch team, helping on the bookstalls, the Flower Guild to writing articles for the magazine or manning the microphones and the Welcome Desk.

Volunteering needn’t be a great commitment, in many cases it is (say) no more than one Sunday a month and duties can always be swapped. Volunteers are welcome and help from any age group would be most welcome. Some of our younger volunteers have used their volunteering at St Columba’s as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award service.
If you have skills that might be of general use to the Church ( eg secretarial, first aid, information technology etc) we would be please to know.

We are particularly interested at the moment to know if experience of advertising or publicity.

If you are interested in getting involved please speak to an elder on Sunday and ask them to refer you to the right person.

THERE ARE PLENTY OF THINGS TO DO, WHICH DO NOT NECESSARILY INVOLVE A GREAT TIME COMMITMENT. FIND OUT MORE BY TALKING TO JEAN STEVENSON OR SHEENA CLARK (NO OBLIGATION!!!)
