Sermon Preached by the Moderator

On Sunday 21 September 2014, the Right Reverend John Chalmers, Moderator of the Church of Scotland, preached at St Giles Cathedral. You can follow the whole service via the Church of Scotland website, including the music and readings (which were so extraordinarily relevant to the exploration of values and fairness that had been at the heart of so much of the referendum discussion, though they were from the prescribed lectionary readings for the 14th Sunday after Trinity and not chosen specially for the theme of the service). You can download the sermon Sermon-of-the-Rt-Rev-John-Chalmers-at-the-Service-of-Unity-and-Common-Purpose,-St-Giles-Cathedral,-September-21,-2014 (1) (1).
