Congregational Outing & Reformation 500

2017 marks the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, begun by Martin Luther. St Columba’s is one of twelve London congregations offering monthly gatherings to help meet and reflect together on reformation history and being Church today. The booklet “Still Reforming – Reformation on London’s Doorsteps” , on the bookstall (£1.), gives more details.

The March event is a gathering at The Swiss Church in London, (79 Endell Street, London, WC2H 9DY ) Saturday 11th March. Starting at 1pm with light lunch on the doorsteps with sausages, cheese, and bread. 2.30pm. Talk by Prof. Rebecca Giselbrecht, University of Zurich, on “The Swiss Reformation, its men, and its women” followed by Q&A. 4pm. Opportunity to see the exhibition by the art students of Goldsmiths college related to Iconoclasm and the Reformation which will be on display at the church, coffee and tea. Sign up via Office.

60th Anniversary


This year we will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of the re-dedication of our beautiful church building. Several events are planned throughout the coming months to celebrate this landmark in the life of St Columba’s Church.
